What makes you happy?

What do you like to do?

Are you from Malmö?

Do you feel unsafe in any place int the society?

Someone spreads out words on the floor. Two people see each other. One person gets a higher deal of cards than the other but are to play the same game. See no evil, speak no evil, hear no evil. Someone decides what the other is to wear. There is a spot available, but anyone's not allowed to take it. Her hijab is a crown but also a shield. Why do I always have to prove that I belong here? If you can't fly, you can't take part.

We hold an interview with some of the muslim women of the city. We are ten youths from Malmö. We want to listen, to understand and above all to say - that we will not avert our gazes.

Teater Thyalela started as a part of the project "Stage outside of City" (Youth Theater Stage/The Swedish National Touring Scene) to engage stage arts for and by youth in the suburban areas of Malmö- The group has had their home scene  Motettens Folkets hus since 2022 and since last year Motetten owns and runs the project as a a part of the passionated and artinvolved youth movement that is growing in the house.
